Ruby needs to practice "Twinkle Twinkle" for the school music recital but Max keeps interrupting her, looking for his lost Fire Truck. It's only when Ruby finally manages to play "Twinkle Twinkle" all the way through that she discovers where the Fire Truck was./Max is still hungry after Ruby makes him a strawberry jam and lettuce sandwich because the sandwich isn't in him, it's all over him! Ruby decides Max needs a bath. But Max manages to get dirtier and dirtier, instead of cleaner. / It's Max's bedtime, but Max can't sleep without his red, rubber elephant. Ruby searches all over his room, but the elephant is nowhere to be found. So Ruby brings her own toys to Max's bed to help him sleep. Soon there's no room for Max!

Ruby plays Hide and Seek with Max but Max doesn't know the rules. Ruby tries to explain how they are supposed to take turns but Max just keeps hiding. Ruby eventually gets her turn to hide - but not the way she expects! / Ruby has a special surprise for Max's breakfast: A lovely sunnyside-up egg. Max would rather have strawberries for breakfast and tries every trick known to bunnies to avoid eating that egg. / Ruby can't wait for the phone to ring, because Louise has a big secret to tell her. But when the phone finally rings, Max chooses that exact time to play with the noisiest toys he can find. Ruby tries everything to keep Max from making noise so she can hear Louise's secret, but never quite succeeds.

Max makes friends with a frog in the creek and wants to take it home with him. But Ruby is planning a tea party for Grandma and that's no place for a froggy. She tells Max that froggy needs to stay in its home in the creek, but Max - and froggy - have other ideas. / Ruby, Valerie and Louise are practicing for the Bunny Scout concert. Max wants to play too, but just makes a lot of banging noise. But when the trio can't keep time, Max adds just the right beat and turns the trio into a quartet. / It's a very hot day and Max wants to go in his swimming pool. But Ruby says they've just had lunch so he's going to have to wait. In the meantime, she decides to water the plants. Finally, Ruby comes up with a solution that allows the plants to get their drink and for Max to get wet without getting a tummy ache.
